Abbe Edgecombe, MS

Director of Stepping Stones and SCIP

Abbe Edgecombe, MS, has always had an interest in community health and the vital connection between individuals, families, and overall community wellness. She believes in the power of doing preventive care, expanding access to health services, strengthening mental health support, and addressing social and environmental factors that shape well-being. Guided by this holistic philosophy, Abbe has devoted her career to creating healthier communities.

Since 2002, Abbe has held various roles at Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP). She is the Director of both Stepping Stones and SCIP (School Community Intervention and Prevention), while also serving as Compliance Officer for LMEP. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Relationships from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a master’s degree in Family and Community Service from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

A Lincoln native, Abbe and her husband, Mike, have six grown children––including quadruplets––and a Yorkie named Murphy. She enjoys reading, jogging, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends.
