Shannon Miller, LADC, LIMHP

Shannon is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has worked in the Human Services field since 2002. She has 16 years of counseling experience, providing substance use and mental health counseling predominantly for adults, ages 18 and older.

Shannon’s background includes treating patients with co-morbid medical issues, mental health, and substance use. This includes people struggling with chronic pain/medical illness, schizophrenia and other major mental illnesses, relationship problems, depression, anxiety/panic, bi-polar disorder, and trauma/PTSD. Shannon also conducts substance abuse evaluations.

Shannon grew up traveling all over the United States. Because of her life experience, Shannon is able to connect with many cultures and adapt easily to her surroundings. These experiences also taught her that change can be difficult and scary sometimes but that even in the worst of situations, people can and do prevail. She believes change is possible but that sometimes we need a little help to see the things we can’t.
